Expect to see some familiar faces at this summer’s Great New York State Fair now that Dropkick Murphys has been added to the lineup for the second year in a row.

The Celtic-influenced rock band will return to the Chevy Court on August 25 at 8:00 p.m.

Dropkick Murphys joined the 2018 fair lineup after a last-minute schedule change, which drew over 13,000 fairgoers.

“We’re thrilled to bring back Dropkick Murphys and to give them a little more time to get ready for a big Chevy Court crow,” said Fair Director Troy Waffner. “Last year, they said it was their first ever show at a state fair. This year, it’s another first—their first repeat performance at a state fair! This is a huge highlight of our concert season and a show absolutely not to be missed.”

This is the second act announced for the NYS Fair's Chevy Court, following the announcement of Bad Company's performance on opening night, August 21. More than two dozen shows are expected over the 13 days, which will take place at both the Chevy Court and the Experience Stage at the New York Fairgrounds.

The 2019 Fair runs from August 21 to September 2. Information on the Fair can be found here.
