Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) -- It's the latest thriller from Netflix. Ben Affleck stars in Triple Frontier.
"My dad in the movie, Ben Affleck, he is retired military special forces,” said Maddy Warry, a freshman at the University of Rochester.
Affleck's character and others set out to rob a drug cartel. For Wary, it wasn't just her first film, but her first major acting role.
"I've done a commercial for one of my dad's restaurants, and I was a kid caster randomly for one of my local news,” said Warry.
The casting director found her through an agency. Wary auditioned and landed the role of Tess, the daughter of Affleck's character Tom.
"I didn't feel a lot of pressure because I was just playing myself. I just had to be an average teenager,” said Wary.
That's the life she's leading at the University of Rochester studying neuroscience and math. She hopes to balance that with her passion for acting.
"I want to keep it going as much as possible, but I'm also really into my studies at school right now. If any opportunity arises I'm totally going to go for it,” said Wary.
