Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - One of the oldest hotels in Rochester will be closing down in a few days.
The Cadillac Hotel has been home to many low-income residents who are now being forced to move.
On Thursday afternoon, a rally was held that called on the city to help find them affordable housing.
"It's a city of diversity, so it should stay and remain that," said Elizabeth McGriff, a volunteer with the Citywide Tenants Union. "And people who have been living there for long periods of time they shouldn't be pushed out. So if they can have the development without moving people out, that would be perfect."
DHD Ventures plans to have the Cadillac Hotel turned into a high-end hotel.
