Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - The holiday traditions continue Tuesday in Rochester.

What was once a one-off celebration to mark the beginning of the Christmas season is now becoming a tradition in Rochester.

Construction is scheduled to begin on the Keg Tree at the Genesee Brewery in Rochester's High Falls neighborhood. Roughly 520 beer kegs will be stacked, draped in lights, and lit later in the week.

Work was originally supposed to start on Monday, but the snow and inclement weather delayed the process.

The lighting of the keg tree is scheduled for Friday, December 6.
