(WHAM) - A man from Romulus, Seneca County is facing multiple charges related to sex abuse allegations involving a child.
Seneca County Sheriff's deputies said Joel Shirk, 31, is accused of sexually abusing a child at least 12 times over the course of three months.
The abuse allegedly happened between August and October 2020.
Investigators arrested Shirk and charged him with first-degree disseminating indecent material to minors, 12 counts of third-degree criminal sexual act, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Shirk was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to be back in Junius Town Court on January 14 at 5 p.m.
