Victor, N.Y. (WHAM) - A teenager from Fairport was arrested Monday afternoon after deputies say she told a young boy to steal an item for her at Victor Schools.

Ontario County Sheriff's deputies said Laura Pesantes, 19, was at a school in Victor on January 18. While at the school, Pesantes allegedly told an 11-year-old boy to take something from a parked truck for her.

The boy did and gave it to her, investigators said. Deputies later found the item with Pesantes in her vehicle.

Investigators arrested Pesantes and charged her with endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a stolen property 5th - both misdemeanors.

Pesantes was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to Victor Town Court at a later date.
