Driver flown to hospital after being pinned under truck in Batavia

Batavia, N.Y. (WHAM) - A pickup truck driver was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital after a crash Tuesday afternoon in Batavia.

Police on scene said the driver lost control of the truck on Assemblyman R. Stephen Hawley Drive near Genesee Community College and flipped over.

The man who was driving was pinned underneath the truck. Crews had to use equipment to lift the truck off of him.

A Mercy Flight helicopter had to take him to the hospital.

The man's name and condition remain unknown as of late Tuesday afternoon.

Police have not yet said what may have led up to the crash.
