Long Island, N.Y. (WHAM) - A man from Long Island is accused of cyberstalking a college student in the Rochester area.
Thomas Traficante, 23, answered to federal charges filed against him in Rochester Thursday.
Traficante is accused of harassing an ex-girlfriend enrolled in college. The victim's identity and college are being kept out of federal court documents due to privacy concerns.
The alleged threats against the victim included mailing drugs to her in order to get her arrested and posting her phone number and other information onto a prostitution website.
Federal court documents state Traficante also left threatening messages for the victim and her friends, and manipulated several of her social media accounts using complex Internet protocols.
