Greece, N.Y. (WHAM) - As part of International Clown Week, the town of Greece is celebrating its local clowners.

Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich made an official proclamation earlier this week for the Grease Paint Alley Clowns.

The Grease Paint Alley Clowns is a non-profit organization who donate their time and experience to smiles and laughter.

“Even though it was raining outside, the clowns brought fun to the pavilion at Sawyer Park with their bright outfits and cheerful attitudes,” said Supervisor Reilich.

Every year, a footprint is painted on Paint Alley Path by the troupe.

The first week of August is celebrated all over the world as International Clown Week.
