Lego house from 'A Christmas Story' visits Rochester

Jason Middaugh is a Syracuse resident and SUNY Geneseo grad who's bringing a piece of the popular film "A Christmas Story" to Rochester this weekend.

Jason, his wife and their daughter constructed a model of the house from the movie out of Legos. It's complete with the Christmas tree, the leg lamp, the Bumpus hounds, the "pink nightmare" and many other references to the movie, along with Lego models of the characters.

It will be on display at the Strong Museum this weekend as part of the National Toy Hall of Fame Celebration Weekend.

The Middaughs are also working on a petition to Lego to have the house produced as an official Lego set. So far, they have more than 7,000 out of the necessary 10,000 signatures.

They brought the house to the Good Day Rochester studio this morning to give us a look inside.
