Lyons/Sodus, N.Y. (WHAM) - The Sodus man accused of slitting the throat of his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend is expected to plead guilty to her murder Friday.
David Knight-Hollis, 19, was arrested in November after police said he killed Alyssa Taft at a home on Boyd Road.
Wayne County District Attorney Mike Calarco said a hearing is expected to be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m.
Taft was a senior at Sodus High School. She had broken up with Knight-Hollis after a relationship that lasted for six months to a year, given varying accounts from authorities and family members.
Knight-Hollis later confessed to deputies that he lured her to the home to try to rekindle their previous relationship. When she refused, Knight-Hollis then allegedly stabbed her in the ribs and slit her throat to get her to stop screaming. He allegedly tried to dispose of her body, according to Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts, but was unsuccessful for unknown reasons.
He later surrendered to deputies.
