(WHAM) - Police in Rochester arrested a man and charged him with attempted murder for a shooting last September that left a man with severe brain injuries.
On September 1, 2019, officers were called to Wilkins Street near Hudson Avenue for the report of a shooting.
Police arrived and found a 47-year-old Rochester man who had been shot in the head. The victim, who has not been identified, was rushed into surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital and was saved. The victim remains in recovery at a brain rehabilitation facility.
New York State Parole officers and Rochester Police officers arrested 28-year-old Jaquill Snowden on Monday night for the shooting.
Snowden was charged with second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault. He will be arraigned in Rochester City court.
