Victor, N.Y. (WHAM) - A Canandaigua man was arrested Friday after deputies say he stormed into a store at Eastview Mall, made threats to a manager and ran away when police were called.
Ontario County Sheriff's deputies said this happened November 3 at 10:15 a.m.
Darryl Bowman, 26, went into a store at the mall and demanded to see a woman who worked there. Bowman and the woman had been in a domestic dispute earlier that morning.
The manager of the store told Bowman to leave immediately, at which time Bowman allegedly announced he had a knife to get the girlfriend to come out from the stock room area. He also made threats of self harm if he wouldn't be allowed to see her.
Bowman refused to leave until 911 was called, at which time he fled.
Investigators were able to find Bowman and his vehicle at the Bowmont Estates in Fairport using a drone and K9 units. Bowman had a knife on him at the time he was arrested, but deputies say he never pointed it at anyone or tried to stab anyone.
Bowman was taken to Newark Wayne Community Hospital for medical treatment. After he was released, he was arrested and charged with stalking 4th.
Bowman was arraigned and remanded to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of bail. An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
