(WHAM) - A worker on a construction site in downtown Rochester was killed Thursday afternoon in an accident involving a construction vehicle.
Rochester Police said the driver of the vehicle crashed on the site on East Avenue near Pitkin Street and died as a result.
The driver was a 45-year-old man from Pennsylvania. It is unclear what caused the vehicle to crash, according to police.
No one else was injured in the crash.
OSHA will be on scene shortly and will handling the investigation going forward.
Pitkin Street was closed to travel for several hours but has since reopened.
