ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHAM) - If you missed out on the Rochester Plates action this year, you will get another chance.
Starting in 2018, the Rochester Red Wings will become the Plates each and every Thursday home game.
The Rochester community's response can be thanked for the decision; a crowd of 13,281 came out to Frontier Field for the special game Thursday night. That marked the fifth-largest crowd in Frontier Field history and the third-largest during the regular season.
Players and staff will wear Plates uniforms and hats for the games.
More details will be announced by the Rochester Red Wings as the upcoming 2018 season approaches.
