(WHAM) - An SUV driver trying to pass a motorcycle in Seneca County Sunday afternoon hit and seriously injured the man and woman riding the motorcycle, according to Seneca County Sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies said they were called to East Lake Road in Fayette around 3 p.m. for the report of a car and motorcycle that collided.
According to deputies, Allan Brown, 33, was driving south on the road with Bridget Osterhout, 23, and trying to turn left into a driveway. Deputies say that is when Jessica Dorazio, 43, tried to pass him and hit the motorcycle.
Brown and Osterhout were thrown from the motorcycle and both suffered serious injuries. Osterhout had arm and leg fractures, while Brown had a severe leg injury. Both were flown in separate helicopters to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, where they are in satisfactory condition.
Charges are pending.
