Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - Families in Rochester now have a new tool to apply to charter schools in the area.

A new website called GoodSchoolsROC.com is replacing the previously-used individual paper applications.

Parents can now log into the website and apply to one of the 20+ charter school locations if they so choose.

The website is available in both English and Spanish.

The Max and Marian Farash Charitable Foundation and the William & Sheila Konar Foundation funded the project.

Applications must be completed by 11:59 p.m. on April 2, 2018 in order for a student to be considered for the 2018-2019 school year.

For those without access to a computer, more information can be found by calling the GoodSchoolsRoc Helpline at (585) 491-9777.

Good Day Rochester conducted a sit-down interview with E3 Rochester board member Lydia Boddie-Rice, which you can watch here.
