Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) – Rochester Police have arrested a man and a teenage boy in connection to at least 20 burglaries from sheds and garages in the city's 19th Ward.

Officers were called to a home on Chili Avenue on Thursday morning around 5:30 for a reported burglary.

When police arrived, they spotted two people running from the scene. Both were arrested after a brief chase.

Investigators took 20-year-old Michael Nash and a 17-year-old boy into custody and charged them both with third-degree burglary. The teen was given an appearance ticket to be seen in family court.

After investigating further, police determined Nash and the teen were linked to more than burglaries of sheds and garages, as well as multiple thefts, in the 19th Ward area.

More charges are expected to be filed.
