Victor, N.Y. (WHAM) - State Police said one student was injured Thursday morning after a school bus slid off the road in Victor.

Troopers said the crash happened around 8:40 a.m. on Shallow Creek Trail near State Route 251.

The school bus, which is owned by the Victor Central School District, slid off the road, causing the rear end of the bus to crash into a building at Auburn Meadows Apartments.

Approximately 30 students were on the bus at the time of the crash, according to police.

One student has a leg injury that is considered minor and was taken to F.F. Thompson Hospital by an ambulance.

All other students on the bus were evaluated by a school nurse at the scene, according to district officials. They were then brought onto a new bus and taken to school where they will be evaluated again by their school’s nurse.

Troopers said the investigation will continue.
