Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - Two people, one of them a Rochester Police officer, were taken to the hospital Friday morning after a three-car crash in Rochester.
Police said this happened around 10:20 a.m. at the intersection of Mt. Read Blvd. and Lexington Avenue.
Officers said a Jeep driving north on Mt. Read Blvd. and went through a flashing yellow traffic light. The Jeep collided with a Chevy Equinox that was driving east on Lexington Avenue. After the collision, the Equinox collided with an RPD patrol car that was sitting at a red flashing light on Lexington Avenue.
The 62-year-old Rochester driver of the Equinox was taken to Strong Hospital after complaining about pain; the RPD officer was taken to Highland Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The 44-year-old Farmington woman who was driving the Jeep was uninjured.
No tickets were issued in the crash.
