Sodus, N.Y. (WHAM) - A man from Sodus was arrested after Wayne County Sheriff's deputies said he failed to feed his dogs for weeks.
Deputies said 43-year-old Jerry Farrwell is accused of depriving two dogs of food and water for several weeks.
This was allegedly happening at his home during the month of March.
Farrell was arrested and charged with two counts of animal cruelty and failure to provide proper sustenance. He was issued an appearance ticket for Sodus Town Court.
Both dogs were seized by Wayne County animal cruelty officers and taken to the Wayne County Humane Society.
Farrell agreed to give up custody of the dogs; they will be available for adoption at a later date.
