Two injured after tractor trailer, dump truck collide in Chili

(WHAM) - A stretch of road in Chili was closed Monday morning after a tractor trailer and dump truck collided.

Monroe County Sheriff's deputies said they were called to the report of a crash on Beaver Road in Chili around 7:45 a.m.

Deputies arrived to find a FedEx tractor trailer had collided with a dump truck on the road. Both drivers were injured and taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.

Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.

The road was shut down between Archer Road and Old Scottsville Chili Road for approximately three hours while deputies investigated and had tow trucks come in.

Deputies have since reopened the road. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
